let's start a painting together

what's the catch?

how does it work?

Fill out the form above. if you're unsure about something, just let me know, we'll figure it out together.

I'll reach out via email to dive deeper into your inspiration: a memory, a place, a photo, a Pinterest board, or which of my painting styles resonates with you.

If we’re aligned, i’ll send over a proposal design concept. This is a collaborative step where we ensure your vision aligns with the artwork before I begin contract drafting and painting.

Contract outlining is defining the pricing, deadlines, review cycles and our collaboration terms. Signing this together ensures there are no surprises and sets clear expectations for how we'll work together.

Once I receive a 50% deposit, i'll begin painting.

Throughout the process, i'll check in with update photos and specific questions to gather your feedback, as agreed.

After completion, the oil painting enters its natural drying phase (3–6 months!).

Once the final payment is made, your painting will be safely wrapped and shipped to you. Shipping costs are included in the pricing at contract signing, it is based on the piece's size and weight.

first, some non-negotiables

I'll be direct

I paint only on wood. No amount of gesso makes me enjoy the texture of canvas.

Paintings are not professionally framed. I encase them to prioritise safe shipment.

I am a contract artist. We move forward only when we both agree on the terms. Some revisions to the contract I'm open to, like more feedback points or a rush fee if you're under time pressure. We start these discussions after you fill out my painting request form.

I do not start painting until a 50% deposit is paid.

I do not ship final artwork until 100% payment is received.

The final painting will follow a detailed design concept that will be approved by you before the deposit is paid.

Returns are only accepted for defects, not for change of mind. You're commissioning a bespoke piece of artwork that reflects my stylistic choices following a concept you approve. You can learn more by reading my returns policy.

I prefer honesty. It's no biggie if either you or I decide, after exchanging ideas and concepts, that maybe we don't align. No money or paint has to be wasted.

it’s ok to be hestitant

Feeling unsure?

Commissioning a painting can feel a bit risky and mysterious. Misalignments on price, timeline, colours, or style can happen. I ask detailed questions upfront so we can figure out as soon as possible what might not work.

If we get to that point after chatting via email, like if my timeline requirements don’t suit your deadlines, there’s no hard feelings to not go through with the commission.

I have time to answer any questions where you feel unsure. There's a specific question above in the questionnaire so that you can get it off your chest, and we can nip it in the bud.
